Mrs. Olive May Pitcher, 75, former Crawfordsville resident, died Monday at 4 p.m. in a Toledo Hospital. She had lived in Toledo since 1951, with her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Smith. Mrs. Pitcher was married to Oscar C. (Jim) Pitcher who died in 1923 in Crawfordsville. He was a former baggage and transfer man in Crawfordsville. Mrs. Pitcher moved to Lafayette in 1924, where she operated a boarding house. In 1949 she moved to Indianapolis and in 1951 she went to live with Mrs. Smith. Ms. Pitcher was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ione Bridges of Lafayette, Mrs. LaVerne Porter, Tipton, and Mrs. Smith; a son, Kenneth E. Pitcher, Akron, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Rogers-Myers Funeral Home in Lafayette. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville.
